I am not saying that both mainstream fans, and underground artist can’t like the same songs on this album, just pointing out that this is what each of these songs seem to be geared to. He even had a sort of cheesy song like “Go Baby”. As underground and Lupe fans can be geared to songs like “Put You on Game”, “Dumb It Down”, “Little Weapon”, and “Gold Watch” which had a sort of tricky beat, and Lupe lyrics to make it unique, and if you’re a Lupe fan you will most likely understand this song. ![]() Songs like “Superstar”, “Go Go Gadget Flow”, and “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” can be more geared to the mainstream audience. Now don’t get me wrong Lupe is still the same Lupe as his previous album and is still doing things his own way, but the songs on this album seem will connect and make mainstream and underground audience happy. What is good about this album that “Food and Liquor” lack on was the attention of the mainstream audience. The production is on point through most of the album, Lupe lyrical ability is a bit better, and Lupe songs take another level. Lupe sophomore album comes out as a little bit better than his previous album “Food & Liquor”.
